A worker was engulfed in a silo containing canola seeds after he fell while attempting to free a blockage. The sliding seed gradually engulfed the man during the 2 hour rescue effort. His body was freed 11 hours later.
Different grains have different properties when stored or loaded. Canola seed has a reputation of being unstable to support the weight of a person.
